I’m so excited to release a new beanie pattern, beanies are how GoldFreckles got started. It was also my first project that I challenged myself to make without a seam. If you can master a beanie on circular needles it will open you up to so many more knitting techniques. Areas like necklines, sleeves and seamless makes will become much less scary to try especially if you are a beginner knitter.

The Sailor Beanie is a unisex style that can be made for the whole family. It can also be worn two ways, folded over or rolled up.

I am myself a self taught knitter and I have created the pattern with that in mind, adding lots of extra descriptions and imagery to help guide you through the process. I am also happy to help with any pattern queries, just get in contact through my email.

How long will it take to knit : 5 - 8 hours

Pattern Sizing : Age 5-7, Age 8-10, XS/S Adult & L/XL Adult

Skill Level: This is an easy pattern & shows a beginner level tubular cast on & a more advanced Italian tubular cast on to choose from. Other techniques you will need to know are knit, purl, decreasing, knitting on circular & double pointed needles.
