The ‘Battenberg Tee’ called a tee (t-shirt) rather than a vest due to its relaxed boxy fit and extended coverage around the arm openings. When I came to design this piece I wanted something that worked like a vest for layering, but in a fit that would feel comfortable to wear on its own. I made the first ‘Battenberg Tee’ in late spring this year for a late summer (pattern) launch but due to the weather I’ve lived in it, replacing by basic white t-shirt all summer long.

I am a self-taught knitter and I have created all my patterns with that in mind, adding extra descriptions and imagery to help guide you through the process. I am also happy to help with any pattern queries, just get in contact through my email.

How long will it take to knit : 8-10 hours, maybe faster depending on your knitting speed.

Sizing : Pattern is available in five sizes from XXS, XS/S, S/M, M/L, XL/L. Starting from a UK size 6 - 22.

Skill Level : This is an easy to intermediate level knitting pattern. The techniques you will need to know are cast on, knit, purl, circular knitting, picking up stitches, decreasing stitches in knit & purl rows, casting off.

Materials : 5-10 Balls of Aran /Worsted weight yarn depending on size.

Needle Size : 8mm/US11
