The Marigold Vest, was dreamt up with the vision of being added to a capsule wardrobe. I wanted it to be interchangeable, working casually or smart depending on the outfit build. The wide shoulders & arm coverage allows you to feel confident if you want to wear it on its own but its shape also allows for layering. Knitted from the bottom hem up and seamed at the shoulders. Then finished with a double knitted border complete with button fastening & ribbing on the armhole edge line. I hope you love this piece as much as I do & feel super excited to knit it up!!!

How long will it take to knit : 20-24 hours but if you have knitted before then it could be faster.

Sizing : Pattern is available to make in eight sizes from a UK size 6-22 (EU 34-50).

Skill Level : This is an intermediate level knitting pattern and the techniques you will need to know are cast on, knit, purl, picking up stitches, decreasing stitches, knitting in the round (Armhole Ribbing Edge), double knitting, & making buttonholes .

Needles : Straight Needles : Size 6 mm. Circular Needles : Size 5 mm x 60 cm/100 cm & 6mm x 100 cm.

Gauge/Tension : Approx. 14sts and 20 rows to 10 cm x 10 cm (4”x 4”) square over stockinette stitch on 6 mm needles.

Yarn : 1 x strand of bulky weight + 1 strand of lace, held together throughout make. Amounts & recommended yarns available in pattern.
