The ‘Cosmos’ cardigan is a cousin of my much loved ‘Birdie’ jumper. The rainbow jumper that was one of my very first creations and over the years so many of you have reached out asking if there can be a cardigan version of this piece. I’ve loved this idea but with time, comes growth and development and if I revisit something I always take it and make it even better than the original, so please meet Cosmos.

Cosmos is a button up cardigan with inset sleeves for a more fitted style but still has the chunkiness and characteristics of a GoldFreckles piece.

I am myself a self-taught knitter and I have created all my patterns with that in mind, adding extra descriptions and imagery to help guide you through the process. I use my Instagram platform to make video content that will aid you through some of the key techniques featured in my patterns. How long will it take to knit : 16-20 hours but if you have knitted before then it could be faster.

Sizing : Pattern ia available to make in four sizes from XS/S, S/M, M/L and L/XL. Starting from a UK size 8-22.

Skill Level : This is an intermediate level knitting pattern and the techniques you will need to know are cast on, knit, purl, deceasing stitches, picking up stitches, short-rows & making buttonholes.

Needles : Straight Needles : Size 12 mm. Circular Needles : Size 12mm 100cm & Size 10mm 60cm (Not used in the round, used back and fore).

Gauge/Tension : Approx. 7 sts & 10 rows to 10 cm (4”) over stocking stitch.

Yarn : Super Chunky Weight. Amount & recommended yarns available in pattern.

Pattern Language : English
